Chicago Is Throwing A Three-Day Party To Honor Ferris Bueller

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is one of the iconic movies of the 80’s.  And to celebrate its 30th anniversary, Chicago will be hosting a festival called “Ferris Fest” to honor all things Bueller.  According to WGN-TV, the festival will be held May 20-22 in and around Chicago.

For those that need a little refresher on Ferris Bueller, it follows the life of a high school senior named Ferris Bueller (played by a young Matthew Broderick).

He convinces his close friends to take a day off school and explore the city of Chicago. Ferris is all about living in the moment and enjoying life.

The festival will include a reenactment of the famous, “Twist and Shout” parade as well as bus tours that go through movie locations including Cameron’s house and the high school where parts of the movie were filmed.  It will also include a special screening of the movie and a Q&A with some of the actors.

You can buy a 3 day ticket to all of the events for $300. This includes access to all the tours, meet-and-greets, a tour of a replica of Ferris’s bedroom, and a t-shirt.

For more information on the event, check-out the official Ferris Fest website.
