There’s A Fast Food Restaurant That Only Serves Salad

Anthem News

Fast food can be great because it is just that—fast. But fast food isn’t generally associated with good nutrition, so it can be frustrating if you need some food on-the-go, but don’t want to sacrifice your health. A newer drive-thru restaurant is looking to change that, however.

Salad and Go, an Arizona-based restaurant, is a drive-thru window where you can get salad to go for only $6 a bowl. The owners, Roushan Christofellis and her husband Tony, created Salad and Go after they noticed they had a hard time finding a quick, healthy meal at an affordable price.

All of their dressings are made in-house, and their meats are cooked fresh there as well. They also use whole, natural and organic ingredients.

This means the Christofellis end up spending 60 percent more than industry averages on food costs, but they make up for this by renting up a small space that’s only 656 square feet, according to Food and Wine.

Currently, Salad and Go is only in Arizona, but the couple wants to expand the concept into other states within the next 18 to 24 months.

Let’s sure hope they come to a city near you soon! I know I’ll be waiting.
