Flying Cars Could Be Here By 2017

Remember “The Jetsons”? The classic 1960s cartoon predicted what life would be like in the future, and some of the things that seemed far-flung back then have indeed come to pass. And now, it seems that a version of George Jetson’s flying car is here. Created by a Scandanavian startup, the AeroMobil gets 430 miles on a single tank of regular gas.

This flying car won’t fold into a briefcase, but it gets the job done.

It’s actually been around for two years. Now, after several successful test flights, we could see these flying cars on (or rather, above) the road as early as 2017, according to Business Insider. And if that ends up not happening—jetpack, anyone?
