Mega-star George Clooney and his wife Amal are expecting twins! Yes, after months of speculation, the news is confirmed that Amal is pregnant with not one, but two, babies. The twins are expected in June.

Clooney’s best bud Matt Damon made the news official during a TODAY interview with Natalie Morales. Damon told Morales that the baby rumors are indeed true, and that he has known about their special news since the fall.

Clooney, long-known for being a confirmed bachelor, married Amal in September 2014. While Amal is known for her absolutely stunning good looks, she is so much more than a pretty face. She has serious brains and intellectual clout that no doubt gives George a run for his money!

Amal, who is of Lebanese descent, is fluent in Arabic, English and French. Amal is a champion lawyer who notably defended WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Nadia Murad, a Nobel Peace Prize-nominated Yazidi human rights activist, is also her client. Amal was recently honored at World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Switzerland for her human rights work.

No doubt George and Amal bonded over their shared human rights work and their passion for making the world a better place. George helped to found Not On Our Watch, a organization devoted to stopping the genocide occurring in Sudan. He has visited the region to bring aid and support to victims there, and he also works closely with other human-rights groups such as Realizing the Dream, ENOUGH project and ONE campaign.
