These days, we generally know what’s good and bad for us, not like back in the eighties. More fruits and veggies, less meat, exercise, outdoor time, spending time with loved ones and friends, etc.

But in our over-scheduled incredibly busy lives, there’s always one activity that ends up getting short shrift. Me time.

The folks over at Happify created an excellent infographic that explains just why “me time” is so critical to maintaining happiness.

To put a point on it, per Happify:

“Studies at the University of Michigan have found that a lack of privacy or “me” time is a bigger cause of unhappy marriages than a less-than-satisfying sex life.”
