A 4-Year-Old With Down Syndrome Becomes Star in New Back-To-School Campaign

Cora Slocum, a four-year-old with Down syndrome, is the new star of Livie & Luca‘s Back-To-School marketing campaign this fall. Livie and Luca is a California-based footwear brand for kids.

Cora lives in the San Francisco area, and along with other children from the area, is the star of #ImGoingBackToSchoolToo. The campaign is all about emphasizing inclusiveness for young people with disabilities. It’s an amazing and powerful message.

Livie and & Luca partnered with Changing the Face of Beauty, a non-profit that is focused on helping people with disabilities get equal representation in advertising and media.  They have helped over 100 companies change their advertising and most recently helped get a number of girls with disabilities on a runway event next week.

And Cora had a blast during the photoshoot.   Check out some of these fun photos:

Thanks for Livie and Luca and Changing the Face of Beauty putting some attention on this cause.     This is already starting a movement with others contributing to the campaign across social media.
