If you’ve been longing for another revival of everyone’s favorite nun comedy ever since “Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit” hit the big screen 25 years ago, rumor has it the wait might be over. That’s right: Whoopi Goldberg and Tyler Perry chatted about the possibility of a “Sister Act 3” on an episode of “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” last week. And fans are pretty excited.

The conversation started after Andy Cohen said comedian Tiffany Haddish loves Goldberg’s 1986 film “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and then asked Goldberg if she would ever consider a sequel.

“No, because that’s not the sequel I want to do!” Goldberg said, adding that she would instead want to make another “Sister Act” movie and revive her beloved Deloris Van Cartier character.

Goldberg said the sequel hasn’t happened yet because Disney doesn’t want to produce it, but Perry — who recently chose Goldberg and Haddish to star in his new comedy “Nobody’s Fool” — said he was game to make the film.

“The two of them in ‘Sister Act’, that should happen,” he said. “Let’s make it happen.”

Of course, fans of the film didn’t miss a beat, taking to Twitter to express their excitement about the possible collaboration. @jispeight77 tweeted that he hoped the film was really going to happen.

And @summer0001 had just the right reaction:

Would you be excited to see another “Sister Act” movie in the works?
