You can soon visit a Taco Bell hotel in California
Do you love Taco Bell so much you sometimes wish you could sleep there? Soon, fans of the fast-food chain will get that opportunity thanks to the debut of The Bell: A Taco Bell Hotel and Resort in Palm Springs, California.
The Taco Bell-themed pop-up hotel is setting up shop at the V Palm Springs, a boutique hotel at 333 E. Palm Canyon Drive. Sadly, it will only be open for a limited time, from Aug. 8–Aug. 12, 2019. Reservations open up on Thursday, June 27, at 1 p.m. EST. Set up your Google Calendar email alerts now, because we imagine that the 70 rooms available will fill up fast.
Rooms start at $169 a night, some of which boast a view of the pool, filled with its sauce packet floaties.
The decor of the rooms themselves will, of course, be in keeping with the Taco Bell theme, with everything from hot sauce pillows to wall art. Taco Bell’s Senior Director of Retail Engagement and Experience Jennifer Arnoldt also told Delish that guests will receive a hot sauce room key upon arrival.
Beyond that, Taco Bell food will be available, from the room service menu to the Freeze Lounge, which is apparently inspired by the Mountain Dew Baja Blast.
“This idea of allowing people to kind of fully experience and embrace and immerse themselves in every aspect of the Taco Bell lifestyle led us to the idea of doing a hotel,” Marisa Thalberg, Taco Bell’s chief global brand officer, told Business Insider.
This isn’t the first time Taco Bell has experimented with offering hospitality services beyond their core restaurant business.
In 2017, they began hosting weddings at their flagship location in Las Vegas.
The restaurant’s Wedding Package includes a Taco Bell garter and bow tie, a bouquet made of sauce packets, “Just Married” shirts and champagne flutes bearing the Taco Bell logo.
More than 165 happy couples have since tied the knot there.
Although The Bell is planned to only be open for a limited time, Thalberg promises she’s not ruling out the possibility of a permanent Bell-themed hotel.
In the meantime, Taco Bell has recently released a summer product collection so you can really spice up your summer and put your passion for Taco Bell on full display.
From pool and beach accessories to Taco Bell-themed swimwear, it looks like this season is about to heat up.
For pool lounging, check out the hot sauce packet pool float — a bright orange float made of PVC material and running 43″ wide and 80″ tall. It goes for $45 on the Taco Bell site.
You’ll also be rockin’ some south-of-the-border vibes at the beach with this Taco Bell pop art cooler for $45.
The cooler features the Taco Bell logo and bright ’90s colors, and holds up to 12 cans inside or six cans on the reversible lid cup holder. It can also hold ice for up to 24 hours.
You can even wear your Taco Bell fandom to the beach or pool with this sauce packet bikini!
At $60, the swimsuit has a string-tie top and bottom and adjustable cups, and features images of mild, hot and fire sauce packets.
