Adidas ‘Toy Story 4’ sneakers and more merchandise you’ll want from the new film
After years of anticipation, “Toy Story 4,” the fourth and possibly final installment in Pixar’s seminal franchise, is finally in theaters. We. Are. Ready. Parents who were introduced to Woody, Buzz and the gang as children, when “Toy Story” was first released in 1995, can’t wait to take their own kids. And, we’re betting every generation will walk out of the theater wanting more.
Fortunately, there’s more than enough awesome merch out in celebration of the film to keep you eating, sleeping, wearing and playing “Toy Story” to infinity and beyond. Here are the items topping our list.
1. Adidas Ultraboost 19 X Toy Story 4 Shoes
Aspiring space rangers will be ready to blast straight into uncharted space after popping on these ultra-lightweight Buzz Lightyear sneaks, which dropped on June 21. They’re sure to fly off the shelves so grab yours quick. Also available are Woody (pictured below), Bo Peep, and Forky-inspired styles. Our only complaint? WHERE are the adult sizes?
2. PopSockets Toy Story PopGrips
For PopSockets devotees who also happen to be commitment-phobes, gone are the days of having to choose — and “stick to” — one PopGrip design. 3. Lego Duke Caboom’s Stunt Show
“Toy Story 4” introduces some hilarious new characters, including Canadian toy stunt man extraordinaire Duke Caboom, played by none other than Keanu Reeves. LEGO has put out an awesome line-up of Toy Story 4 sets, but this one is definitely our favorite. We’d buy it for the Duke Caboom minifig alone.
3. Edy’s/Dreyer’s Toy Story 4 Ice Cream
Hit your local grocery store for two limited-edition “Toy Story 4” ice cream flavors: Chocolate Peanut Butter Prize Winner (with little chocolate characters for your kids to fish out while making a total mess of themselves in the process — speaking from experience here) and Carnival Churro Cravings.
4. Pottery Barn Kids Toy Story 4 Bedding Collection
This “Toy Story 4” bedroom collection is the stuff sweet dreams are made of. If you haven’t checked out Pottery Barn Kids’ high-quality children’s bedding, now’s the time. Their licensed collections look sophisticated enough for decor-savvy parents who take their kids’ room theming seriously!
5. Forky Creativity Set
Another new character guaranteed to be a kid favorite is Forky, the new “toy” Bonnie crafts from items that came from the trash on her first day of kindergarten. Voiced by Tony Hale (best known for his portrayal of Buster Bluth on “Arrested Development” and Gary Walsh on “Veep,”) Forky is lovably clueless and insecure, and kids will be instantly drawn to his silly-sweet personality. With the Forky Creativity Set, little ones can make their own Forky to play with at home — a perfect activity for a rainy summer day.
5. Toy Story 4 Woody Boots
Don’t worry, there’s no snake in these boots. If you tell me you don’t need these, with the adorable “Andy” scrolled on the bottom, my response will be, “There seems to be no sign of intelligent life anywhere.”
6. Toy Story 4 Funko Mystery Minis
If your kids are obsessed with watching unboxing videos on YouTube (and if they’re not, teach me your ways), then no doubt they know all about Funko Mystery Minis. Collect all the “Toy Story 4” characters with these fun blind boxes — just be forewarned, you’re opening a can of worms with these that won’t be easily closed, so don’t expect to buy just one!
7. Hot Wheels Toy Story 4 Character Cars
Hot Wheels-loving kiddos will go crazy for these super cute cars featuring new and classic Toy Story 4 characters. Buy them individually or pick up this bundled set of six featuring Buzz, Woody, Forky, Bo Peep, Rex, and Ducky and Bunny.
8. Ducky and Bunny Scented Friendship Plush
Many of the film’s biggest laughs are sure to come courtesy of two more new characters, Ducky and Bunny, played by powerhouse comedy duo Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. Watch them have a little too much fun at poor Buzz’s expense in their introductory scene, and then get this plush pair to play with at home.
