You can now buy ‘banana milk’ and apparently it tastes just like banana bread

Think you can’t have your banana bread and drink it, too? Well, if you’re lucky enough to live near an Aldi selling banana milk, you just might be able to.

We’re not talking about banana-flavored whole milk or a banana milkshake. Mooala Original Banana Milk is an allergen-friendly dairy milk alternative that reportedly has a decidedly delicious banana bread flavor, and Aldi is just one of the grocery retailers that happens to carry it.

So what exactly is banana milk? In this case, it is primarily a blend of filtered water, organic bananas and toasted sunflower seeds with a touch of organic cinnamon. The result is a beverage that is not only dairy-free but also nut-free, gluten-free, carrageenan-free, vegan and non-GMO with no added sugar (only four grams of sugar per serving, to be precise). Plus, it is a good source of calcium and potassium.

As for the taste, this silky, creamy liquid will lend its banana bread-like flavor to cereal, smoothies, baked goods and more. If you need more convincing, check out these posts from fans of the product.

Instagrammer @gabongski says that Mooala banana milk has ruined her for regular milk.

“It looks like it’s the end of all the other kinds of milk for me,” she posted, confirming, “THIS. IS. IT.”

Carolyn Renee at @carolynreneefit says that Mooala Banana Milk is part of her favorite breakfast when she’s stateside.

“I discovered banana milk due to a post on Facebook and I still can’t believe how good it is,” she revealed in this post. “I put it in my coffee and my smoothies as well as over my cereal.”

Tiffany Magness at @nourish_tone loves it because it tastes indulgent.

“It’s so good and tastes like a cheat but isn’t,” she posted. “It’s super clean!”

Oh, and did we mention that there are three flavors? Strawberry and chocolate are also available, all without nuts or dairy.

“Anyone else allergic to things?” asked Instagrammer @bossbabykiki. “I’m allergic to eggs and nuts, and we think milk might cause my eczema flare ups. So we are switching up to a nut-free or dairy-free replacement to milk with Mooala!”

She shared that they got the strawberry-flavored banana milk. The verdict?  “It tastes delicious with cereal, or just as it is!”

If your neighborhood Aldi doesn’t haven’t this in stock just yet, don’t fret! Use the Mooala Storefinder to locate a retailer near you who does. What flavor will you try first?
