Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez are finally going to tie the knot. The pair got engaged on March 9, and both took to Instagram to share the happy news alongside some photos of the proposal and the beautiful diamond ring. Rodriguez reportedly spent seven months shopping for the stunning $1.8 million engagement ring. The emerald-cut diamond ring is believed to have been purchased from overseas, and from the look on Lopez’s face in the photos, she couldn’t be more pleased with his selection.

The engagement took place on a beach in the Bahamas, where the couple has been vacationing.

“Locking it down #futuremrsrodriguez,” Rodriguez captioned his photo of a stunned Lopez as he placed the ring on her finger.

He also posted a close-up of the ring, which he captioned simply, “She said yes”:

Lopez and Rodriguez have been dating since 2017, and by all accounts, they’re a perfect match. In summer 2018, they took a romantic vacation in Italy together, where they had a blast both partying with friends and spending some peaceful one-on-one time with each other. Although no plans for the big day have been announced, Lopez already has one volunteer for her wedding party: Ellen DeGeneres.

“Yes, I’ll be your maid of honor,” the talk show host wrote in the comments of Lopez’s Instagram post.

DeGeneres has been suggesting for a while now that the pair were set to walk down the aisle soon, so we’re guessing she’s pretty excited by the news.
