Food Network Host Alton Brown Marries Designer Elizabeth Ingram
Food Network star Alton Brown is a married man! The celebrity chef wed Atlanta-based restaurant and interior designer Elizabeth Ingram on Sept. 29 on a boat in Charleston, South Carolina.
Brown and Ingram first met in October 2016 at a signing for Brown’s book “EveryDayCook.” Brown later hired her to renovate an apartment he had recently purchased in Marietta, Georgia. Though Ingram didn’t know who he was when they first met, the couple hit it off during the intense seven-month-long renovation.

“We benefitted from Pinterest, text, and getting to know each other that way,” Ingram told Architectural Digest in a recent interview.
Their romance blossomed and, as Brown told AD, “At some point, meetings turned into dates.” The couple got engaged in April 2018 and share the beautifully-renovated apartment Ingram designed for Brown.
The “Good Eats” host took to Twitter on Oct. 1 to confirm their nuptials and share a photo of the smiling couple on the streets of historic Charleston:

Brown shared other photos to Instagram, including one of the newly married couple aboard the boat. Ingram was elegant and stylish in a lovely silk and lace dress and Brown looked dapper in a tan suit and straw hat.
“Yeah, we wore sneakers,” he captioned the photo, using the hashtag #mybouquetwasabloodymary to reference the cocktail he was holding.

Brown also shared a photo on Instagram of Abigail, the rescue dog the couple recently adopted. Abigail even has her own Instagram account detailing her life with Brown and Ingram, and her recovery from mange.
“Mom and dad got married on a boat and all I got was a glass of weird fizzy stuff,” Brown captioned the photo.

While their pooch might not have been too impressed with the shipboard nuptials, the wedding food was a hit with the chef. Brown commended Charleston restaurant Chubby Fish for their local by-catch menu and declared their shrimp and rice dish to be “one of the best meals I can remember.”
