You probably heard that Amazon Prime Day got off to a bit of a rocky start.

There were some technical difficulties at the start of the annual 36 hours of bargains and deals for Prime members, but Amazon seems to have everything under control once again. And good news: there are still tons of deals to be had in the remaining hours of Amazon Prime Day!

Curious which items were the most popular on Amazon Prime Day 2017? Worldwide, the item the most people were snapping up was the Echo Dot (which is back this year for $29.99), which is Amazon’s hands-free, voice controlled device featuring Alexa.

In the United States alone, the most popular item on Prime Day last year was a 23andMe DNA test (which is back again this year for $99 marked down from $299), while our neighbors to the north in Canada were buying tons and tons of Instant Pots. In Mexico, the most popular item last year was the Nintendo Switch.

Here are some of the best deals from this year’s sale:

Instant Pot

The ever-popular and super useful Instant Pot was on sale for $58.99 (regularly $99.95), a savings of 41 percent, but this deal was so popular that Amazon ended it early. Still looking for a great deal? They’ve discounted this Crock-Pot version to just $52.49 (regularly $79.99).


Disney Star Wars Tee Pee Tent

The Ring doorbell pro — which lets you see, speak to and hear front-door visitors from your phone, tablet or computer — is on sale for $174 (regularly $249), which is a savings of 30 percent off.


Harry Potter: Complete 8-Film Collection

If you’re a dedicated fan, you know you’ll probably rewatch at least one of these films in the near future. You can own the full 8-film collection on DVD for $22.99 or DVD/Blu-ray for $28.99 (regularly $49.99).

Other Ways To Save

If you’re new to Prime, Amazon is offering a handful of additional ways to save on Prime Day. For example, you can get a $10 credit when you download and sign into the Amazon app for the first time. If you install Amazon Assistant on your computer, you can save $5 off your Prime order of $25 or more.

Prime members can also save up to 30 percent off multivitamins, nut bars, baby food pouches and other Amazon-brand products, as well as 20 percent off select Amazon Basics products.

If you’re a fan of Whole Foods and you have an Amazon Prime credit card, you can earn up to 10 percent back on Prime Day for up to $400 in purchases when you use your card. What’s more, if you spend $10 at Whole Foods between now and July 17, you and get a $10 credit toward your Amazon Prime purchase. Amazon is also offering 40 percent off boneless chicken breasts, BOGO deals on Honey Nut Cheerios and Allegro coffee and other grocery deals.
