Ariana Grande Has A New Look And People Have A Lot Of Feelings

No more high ponytail! We like her fresh new look!

Ariana Grande is known to rock a high ponytail, but those days are long gone — for now.

The singer took to Instagram to show off her new look, a lob haircut. The photo featured a caption that made no reference to her shorter locks, but did mention another aspect of her face. “This filter took my eyebrows away but i promise they’re there,” Grande wrote.

But followers immediately noticed that her iconic long tresses were gone:

Her fans were quick to react, with one commenter simply reacting to the new look with one simple word: Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.”

“U know a girls goin thru it when she cuts all her hair off. U good love??” wrote another commenter, seemingly in reference to Grande’s recent breakup with Pete Davidson and the death of her former boyfriend, Mac Miller.

While some clearly weren’t big fans of Grande’s new haircut, others showered the singer with compliments over her new ‘do. “I’m so happy that you are taking time and finding yourself. The pony will never be forgotten but it always looked so tight. This is it and you look so different in a good way,” wrote a follower.

Immediately after her split from Davidson, Grande told fans she was going to take a break from social media. But her hiatus didn’t last long.  Shortly after sending the message, she quickly resumed posting.

Earlier this month, Grande dropped a new single about her exes called “Thank u, next.” In the single, she sings about the gifts each relationship brought her and also maintains that she harbors no ill will towards any of her former loves.

The singer is now gearing up to drop the accompanying music video for the song, as she teased on her Instagram account. As can be seen in the clip, the video takes inspiration from “Mean Girls,” featuring cameos from several actors from the original movie, including stars Jonathan Bennett (the main love interest) and Stefanie Drummond (the girl who proclaims Regina George once punched her in the face).

It’ll also seemingly poke fun at the constant slew of rumors surrounding the pop star, from her current dating status to speculation over her broken engagement. Clearly, Grande is trying to send a message.

But though the singer may be moving on from her past in some ways, we have a feeling her ponytail break will be temporary.
