December has been a month to remember for pop superstar Ariana Grande. The 27-year-old singer just announced her engagement to boyfriend Dalton Gomez!

Grande shared the news via her social media accounts on Dec. 20.

“Forever n then some,” she posted from her Instagram and Facebook accounts, along with a series of pictures of the happy couple. And, of course, there were some closeups of the gorgeous engagement ring, a large oval-cut diamond flanked with a pearl on one side.

Fans quickly had the photos trending all over social media along with lots of congratulations for the newly engaged couple.

Twitter user @ladywallflow3r posted her excitement over the news.

In addition to all the shoutouts and congratulations for the happy couple, some fans also dished on their theories about the pearl sitting alongside the large diamond.

The pearl is Grande’s birthstone, and in 2014, Grande posted a photo of a pearl ring her grandmother, who she calls Nonna, gave to her that was made from her grandpa’s tie pin. Some fans wondered if this is the same pearl.

On Twitter, @getwellchels got emotional over the thought of such a sentimental addition to Grande’s engagement ring.

Grande and Gomez have been dating for almost a year, even though the couple didn’t go public with the relationship until June. Gomez is a luxury real estate agent with the Aaron Kirman Group in Los Angeles.

The couple certainly looks happy in the engagement photos Grande shared on her social media accounts.

Friends and family also shared in the joy of the couple. Even Grande’s mom, Joan, commented on her daughter’s Instagram post.

“Sooo sooo sooo happy!!!!” she posted. “Love you two!”

Back in 2018, Grande was briefly engaged to “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson. It was called off only after a few months.

Grande and Gomez have not announced a wedding date yet. Meanwhile, Grande’s new documentary, “Excuse Me, I Love You,” begins streaming on Netflix on Dec. 21. As usual, this superstar has a lot going on!
