Ariana Grande and James Corden Turned ‘Titanic’ Into a 5-Minute Musical

In a segment for “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” the lovable late night host and pop star Ariana Grande recreated the plot of “Titanic” using modern music. The epic performance was shot live and involved 13 songs and nine sets. Unsurprisingly, it was completely amazing.

Corden has a way of creating must-see TV, especially when he has musicians join him on the show. But he took this far beyond just “Carpool Karaoke” and really turned it up a notch in honor of Grande’s visit.

The unique performance lasted for just over five minutes, and you can see it on the show’s YouTube channel.

Trust us, this is must-watch:

Both Corden and Grande wowed with their vocal performances of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance,” Styx’s “Come Sail Away,” and other pop songs you didn’t necessarily associate with “Titanic.”

Grande had her shining moment when she performed a spot-on take of Celine Dion’s classic ballad  “My Heart Will Go On.”

It looks like Grande’s mama was a huge fan of the segment, as Joan Grande tweeted “I cannot tell you how many times I have watched this”:

There will also be an upcoming “Carpool Karaoke” segment featuring Grande, so fans of these snippets of the show still have that to look forward to. According to E! News, it will air on Aug. 15 as Grande prepares to release her latest album “Sweetener” on Aug. 17.

This definitely isn’t the first time Grande has killed it on late night. When she made a guest appearance on  “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” back in May, she surprised a group of fans who thought they were coming in to sing for a fan music video compilation. Little did they know that Grande herself would be there to meet them!

The sweet gesture was filmed for the show, and it shows how truly devoted Grande is to her fans:

Even the show’s producer, Mike DiCenzo, was impressed by the way Grande went above and beyond for each fan.

“What you did not see is that after each surprise, Ariana stayed and chatted with each fan for several minutes, asking about their lives, careers, etc,” he wrote on Twitter after the taping. “@ArianaGrande is truly one of the good ones.”

The pop star is even hosting intimate listening parties for fans once the “Sweetener” album drops, she announced on Twitter:

Unsurprisingly, the events sold out quickly!

From live performances to meet and greets and listening parties — there’s nothing Grande won’t do for her fans, and that’s why she has so many of them.
