Ayesha and Stephen Curry Announce Baby No. 3 Is On The Way

Ayesha and Stephen Curry are expecting a third child together! The Food Network star took to Instagram last week to share the happy news that she and her basketball player husband are adding to their family.

Alongside a photo of herself wearing a t-shirt that says “Preggers,” she wrote, “Heyyyy how did this happen?! Curry party of 5. Feeling very blessed…and very sick. Yippie! #curryfor3.”

Stephen and Ayesha Curry met as teenagers in their church youth group in North Carolina. They later started dating in Los Angeles, where she was acting and modeling and he was beginning his basketball career. (He now plays for the Golden State Warriors.) The couple has been married since 2011, and they share two children together: Riley, five, and Ryan, two.

Back in 2015, Riley Curry made headlines when the then-toddler adorably interrupted her dad during a press conference. Rapper Drake posted the funny incident on Instagram:

Another time the cheeky child climbed up on her dad’s lap during a press conference and told him to “be quiet”:

Some parents might be mortified at their child stealing the attention, but Ayesha Curry was grateful that people saw a realistic representation of what her family is like. Writing for Time, she wrote:

“I thought it was beautiful, and I wouldn’t change a thing. There can be more than 50 people and 10 cameras — not counting camera phones — in the room during press conferences, so it can be overwhelming. But my husband handled his duties on the podium with ease and class. And my daughter was who she is — vibrant, spunky, and full of life. I hope she carries this with her through adulthood.”

The Curry family are clearly proud to be parents. In an interview with Parents, Steph Curry opened up about his experience with parenting, saying:

“I think about the milestones from my childhood and what it will be like to watch our kids go through them. Taking Riley to her first day of school was a whirlwind. I can’t imagine what middle school is going to be like, and high school, and graduation. All those little checkpoints are going to be fun, and there will be ups and downs along the way. Watching our children go through those life experiences will be amazing.”
