The ‘Baby Shark’ Animated Series Will Premiere With A Holiday ‘Fishmas’ Special

Get your kids ready!

“Baby Shark” is doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo-ing its way onto your TV screen this holiday season.

“Baby Shark’s Big Show,” based on an earworm of a children’s song turned viral phenomenon, will debut on Nickelodeon on Dec. 11 at 12:30 pm ET with a holiday special, “Baby Shark’s Big Fishmas Special.”

Check out Baby Shark’s fast-paced and perky “It’s Fishmas” song below.

Santa Jaws is on the way! The aroma of fish biscuits is in the air (ew!) And the whole Shark family is ready to celebrate!

The holiday special’s plot centers on Baby Shark trying to get the hottest toy for Fishmas and needing to save the holiday when Santa Jaws disappears.

You’ll be able to stream the holiday episode online as well at Nick Jr. On Demand and Download-To-Own services, NickJr.com and the Nick Jr. App.

The full “Baby Shark” series will start in spring 2021 and include 26 half-hour episodes. According to Nickelodeon’s press release, the show will focus on “Baby Shark and his best friend William as they journey on fun-filled comedic adventures in their community of Carnivore Cove, meet new friends and sing original catchy tunes along the way.”

Here’s another teaser for the “Fishmas dream come true” of a special.

The “sweet, bubbly, and abso-toothly fearless” Baby Shark, as described in a press release, often bites off more adventure than he can chew. The little Carnivore Cove resident will be voiced by Kimiko Glenn. His best friend and “quick-witted pilot fish,” William, is played by Luke Youngblood. “Fun-loving with a fierce streak” Mommy Shark is played by Natasha Rothwell and dentist-Daddy Shark is voiced by Eric Edelstein. Rounding out the cast are Grandma Shark (Debra Wilson), who is New Agey and likes to bake, and “charismatic” storyteller Grandpa Shark (Patrick Warburton).

Nickelodeon and Pinkfong, the Korean online content company owned by SmartStudy that created the original “Baby Shark” video, are the collaborators on this new series.
