“Bacon Critic” Is An Actual Job And It Could Be All Yours

Bacon may be the most versatile meat out there. It works with breakfast, lunch and dinner.  And it smells AMAZING.  If you fall into the bacon-loving camp, then you should seriously think about applying for this new job.

Extra Crispy, a new website dedicated to all things breakfast, is hiring an official Bacon Critic to write about, well, bacon. According to the job description, this lucky soul would “spend a three-month appointment researching, writing about, obsessing over and critiquing bacon.”

If you’re interested, then you need to submit a 600-word essay that recounts your favorite bacon memory (deadline is June 24). While they want someone with a huge passion for the cured meat, the person must also possess “serious writing chops, an unmistakable voice,” and “a sense of adventure,” too.   The job description adds, “Writers with funny and memorable stories are preferred, so let it all hang out.”
