If you’re anything like me, any flower you put in a pot winds up shriveled and dead. I just don’t have a green thumb. Fortunately, there are some great plant options for people who don’t have the time or expertise to care for flowers.

If you want low-maintenance plants, try out these eight flowers that are easy to care for and should work in your garden. With these flowers, you can still have a beautiful outdoor space without a lot of work.

1. Lantana

These are self-cleaning plants (no deadheading needed, in most cases!) that love the sun. They bloom in multiple colors and are deer-resistant. They grow best on hot days, so don’t be surprised if they take some time to get growing. They can grow as perennials in frost-free climates but are annuals in colder regions.
