Benji Madden posts beautiful birthday Message to Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz turned 45 years old on Aug. 30. And her normally private husband, Benji Madden, took to Instagram to make note of the occasion.

Madden, the lead guitarist for the band Good Charlotte, usually shies away from the press and discussing his marriage to the Hollywood star, but in this case he wanted to share with the world how special and incredible his wife is.

And the internet is simply eating up his sweet and touching words.

“Happy Birthday to my Beautiful Wife,” he wrote. “I feel like I am the LUCKIEST guy ALIVE I don’t think anyone could ever know the Depth, Kindness, and Compassion that I get to experience everyday thanks to My One and Only- You got me til the end baby.”

So adorable! For her part, Cameron Diaz has talked openly about her deep love for her husband. On an “Ellen” appearance in 2016, she said 38-year-old Madden was her “purpose for living” and there is no one else on Earth she would rather be with.

Diaz and Madden tied the knot in January 2015. As Diaz revealed to Andy Cohen in a Sirius XM interview, she pretty much fell for the rocker right away and knew he was the one.

She says, “It was one of those things where everyone tells you, ‘You just know when you know.’ I was like, ‘What does that mean? Oh, I get it. You just know when you know.’ Like, you’re my husband.”

How Cameron Diaz met her husband

The pair met through Nicole Richie (Benji’s sister-in-law) and Joel Madden (Benji’s brother and Richie’s husband). While they had friends in common for years, they never got the chance to know each other until Diaz threw a dinner party at her house for Richie and her husband. Benji was in attendance, and the rest is happily ever after.

As Diaz says, “The first thing I said when I first met my [would be] husband was, ‘He’s hot.’ How come I didn’t know this before? We had never been in the same circle.”

Could these two be any cuter? Now that Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are separating, we need Hollywood couples like this to give us #goals.
