The Best Valentine’s Day Candy To Gift (Or Eat Yourself)

If you think Valentine’s Day is about spending time with that special someone, long-stemmed roses and everlasting romance, that’s beautiful. As far as I’m concerned, Valentine’s Day is just Pink Halloween. You can take your prix fixe menu, I’ll be dining on three courses of candy.

1. Ghiradelli Valentine’s Dark Chocolate Strawberry Chocolates

Ghiradelli Squares are unbelievably delicious every other day of the year that’s not Valentine’s Day, but this special-edition version really takes the cake. 2. Lindor Strawberries and Cream Truffles

Lindor Truffles have a smooth chocolate shell filled with an almost-liquid inside. While I’m personally attached to the extra-dark chocolate variety, the Strawberry and Cream is a strong contender. A white chocolate exterior, a sweet strawberry interior… what more could a girl want? Aside from a metric ton of them?

3. Reese’s Peanut Butter Heart

If you thought you were going to make it through this list without a mention of Reese’s Cups, you’re sorely mistaken. Reese’s Cups are unquestionably the greatest candy alive (they are, I’ll fight you on this), and they’re made even better when turned into shapes. Whether they be pumpkin, Christmas tree or, in this case, a giant heart, there’s nothing like that salty-sweet peanut butter filling that makes me think of true love.

4. Red Velvet Kit Kats

Kit Kats have been coming out in all sorts of crazy flavors recently (matcha, cookie dough and wasabi to name a few), and Red Velvet is the latest. Coated in white chocolate, the crispy inner wafers are sandwiched with a Red Velvet filling. We can’t wait to try these adorable treats.

5. Sugarfina Rosé Gummy Bears

If you haven’t heard of these insanely popular gummy bears, I’m not sure how. They wowed the internet, selling out almost instantly as they debuted. 6. Marshmallow Hearts

7. See’s Sour Hearts

The classic Seattle candy company has the perfect alternative for those who don’t love chocolate (??!!). These gummy sour hearts come in lemon, cherry and berry flavors. They’re just sour enough, and the mix between a jelly and chewy texture makes these an addictive pick.

8. Shriver’s Cinnamon Saltwater Taffy

Shriver’s has been making its famous saltwater taffy in New Jersey since 1898. The chewy, gooey addictive stuff comes in a plethora of flavors, but we’re partial to the pretty red and white cinnamon variety. A two-pound box of this stuff definitely beats some stale cinnamon Red Hots. Plus, it makes an adorable gift.
