Blake Shelton just released his own line of hard seltzer lemonade

Country music superstar Blake Shelton is stepping onto a new stage: the hard seltzer market. The coach from NBC’s “The Voice” is bringing his laid-back, Southern style to the new Smithworks Hard Seltzer Lemonade.

“Made with pride and rooted in values of the Heartland, Smithworks and I want to celebrate with new drinks and old friends,” Shelton said in a press release promoting the new brew. “Our new Smithworks hard seltzers taste like liquid sunshine. Infused with the flavors of crisp and refreshing lemonade, it’s the perfect way to kick back and cool off this summer.”

The new drinks hit stores on March 31 and Shelton shared a video on his social media channels to announce its arrival.

Smithworks, a brand best known for its vodka, and Shelton have been partners since 2016. However, Shelton only recently got in on the booming hard seltzer trend.

“I started tasting (different hard seltzers) and getting into it, and we finally decided we should do this,” Shelton told USA Today. “This is something people are doing out on the lake; they’re having this kind of a summertime drink and that’s what I’m all about.”

The Smithworks American Brewed Hard Seltzer Lemonade line comes in four fruity flavors that promise to capture the taste of summer, including Classic Lemon, Ripe Strawberry, Southern Peach Tea and Crisp Lime. Each 12-ounce can has 100 calories, 2 grams of carbs, 1 gram of sugar, and 5% alcohol by volume.

All four flavors are available for sale in 17 states, according to the Smithworks’ official press release. The drinks are available in 12-count variety packs (12-ounce cans), six-count packs of Classic Lemon (12-ounce cans) and individually as a 23.5-ounce can of Classic Lemon or Ripe Strawberry.
