Bloody Mary Chips Are Your New Favorite Booze-Inspired Snack Food

If you are of the mindset “it’s always five o’clock somewhere,” then you’re going to love this booze-inspired snack food. Kettle Brand potato chips created a Bloody Mary flavor, so if you’re looking for a way to spice up your lunch hour — this is it.

Bloody Mary chips, of course, don’t contain any alcohol, but the other aspects of a Bloody Mary are replicated here in the form of a crunchy potato chip. We’re guessing there’s a tomato flavor at first bite and a cayenne spice that brings the heat at the end.

This unique chip flavor is sold in a pack that’s marketed as the perfect tailgating snacks. Along with the Bloody Mary flavor, there’s also Buffalo Bleu, Spicy Queso and Backyard BBQ. Seems like great sporting event snacks to us!

You can purchase the set for $13.99 on Boxed. It was also available on Amazon, but is currently sold out.

Kettle is not the only chip company to turn this popular brunch cocktail into a snack food. McClure’s also makes a Bloody Mary flavor and you can currently buy a bag from them on sale for $2.44 at World Market.

People online love the McClure’s take on this unique flavor:

People find themselves craving these chips — and this is one case where you don’t have to wait until happy hour to get that tomato-based taste.

Of course, you can also try making your own Bloody Mary chips at home! According to this YouTube tutorial, you’ll need a mandoline to slice your potatoes into thin pieces for the chips, as well as as a container of Bloody Mary salt for the garnish.

If you’re the type of person who gets excited about frying up a batch of homemade chips, this could be a unique new way to do it.

Snack time has never been so good. Cheers!
