Blueberry croissant puff is an easy and delicious make-ahead breakfast
Blueberries are considered a superfood thanks to their vitamins and antioxidants. The health benefits are a plus, but we love that you can just pop blueberries in your mouth because they taste so good. They’re so versatile in recipes, too. Sure, you can sprinkle some blueberries on top of your granola or yogurt for breakfast, but why not indulge once in a while with something special?
Plenty of other blueberry bakes have inspired us to get cooking, like the blueberry cookies that went viral on TikTok and this blueberry cheesecake poke cake recipe that gives you the best of two desserts, cake and cheesecake.
The recipe for Blueberry Croissant Puff, shared by Christy Denney on her blog The Girl Who Ate Everything, is a beautiful-looking dish that has the bonus of being a simple way to put together a yummy breakfast. You can even put together the ingredients the night before, let them sit in the fridge overnight and bake it the next morning.
We can’t wait to throw this together and give it a try for breakfast or brunch.
The blueberry croissant puff has only seven ingredients, and they’re all items that are easily found at the store. In fact, you probably already have most of them in your own kitchen. You’ll need some store-bought croissants, fresh or frozen blueberries, cream cheese and a few other ingredients. It all goes into a square baking pan. You can get the full instructions at The Girl Who Ate Everything.
What we love about this recipe is its simplicity. All you need to do is tear apart the croissants, mix in the wet ingredients, put them together in one pan and bake it.
But maybe the best part is how you can put all the ingredients together like this and then put the covered pan in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning, it’s ready to go into the oven and you can have a hot, fresh breakfast to savor!
If you love raspberries and blackberries, too, don’t worry. You can substitute your favorite berry to make this breakfast croissant puff.
We think this could be a recipe worthy of adding to the regular meal rotation. Enjoy!
