8 Brands That Still Make Products Right Here In The U.S.

Crayola

So many items are made overseas, it may not occur to you (or even matter) where it was manufactured. If you’re a Made-In-The-USA type, here are a few items that are still made right here in the USA.

1. KitchenAid Mixers

A fixture in kitchens since the early 1940s, they’re produced in Greenville, Ohio. Listen to this NPR story about their history.

2. Crate & Barrel

Many of those big pieces of furniture are made in family-owned workshops the company has done business with for more than 30 years.

3. Calphalon Cookware

Look for “Toledo, OH” on the bottom of your cookware. Many of their items, including their Unison line, are made there.

4. Master Lock

The lock company, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has moved jobs back to the Midwest from China in recent years.

5. Room & Board

More than 90 percent of their furniture items are American-made.

6. Crayola

Almost every Crayola crayon comes from Easton, Pennsylvania. Ah, I remember the big 64-count box with the sharpener. Flip open a big box, take a big sniff and you’re back in third grade, am I right?

7. New Balance

While not every New Balance sneaker is made in the USA, the retailer makes or assembles 4 millions pairs of sneakers in the U.S. each year.

8. Pyrex Glassware

Pyrex is a World Kitchen company and has been making its glassware in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, since the early 1940s, starting out as Corning, Inc.
