Bud Light is introducing a lemonade beer and it sounds perfect for spring
Summer will be here before we know it, and to kick off the season, Bud Light is introducing a new beverage — Bud Light Lemonade.
The company hasn’t made an official announcement about it, but the drink has already been spotted on store shelves across the country.
The packaging indicates that it’s a light lager brewed with real lemon peels. We’re guessing that it’s a take on a radler, a half-lemonade, a half-beer concoction with German roots. You may also know it as a shandy, such as Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, which combines a weiss beer with lemonade flavor.
Metro Liquor in Inkster, Michigan, took to Instagram to promote the introduction of Bud Light Lemonade:

“New Bud Light Lemonade now available in 25oz cans and 12 pack cans!” reads the caption.
At 4.2% ABV, it sounds like the perfect refreshing drink to sip in the sun this summer.
This isn’t the first time that Bud Light has tried their hand at a radler-type beverage. Back in 2017, they introduced the grapefruit-flavored Bud Light Radler in Canada, which had a 2.4% ABV.
“With the ever-changing palates of consumers, who are always looking for new flavors to try, Bud Light Radler delivers the refreshment Bud Light drinkers have come to expect with the addition of citrus flavor we are confident they will love,” Todd Allen of Anheuser-Busch InBev’s Canada Unit, Labatt Breweries, told Just-Drinks at the time.
They aren’t the only brand to experiment with beer and lemonade combinations, either. In 2019, Natural Light rolled out a Strawberry Lemonade Beer called Naturdays.
“We designed Naturdays with all-day refreshment in mind,” Anheuser-Busch’s Daniel Blake said in a press release. “We’re excited to introduce a light beer to the market with a refreshing-strawberry-lemonade flavor that will get people to rethink their drink of choice.”
Are you a fan of radlers? Will you give Bud Light Lemonade a try this summer?
