Carson Daly is one of the busiest men in show business.

He’s a correspondent on the TODAY show, plays host and executive producer on NBC’s “The Voice” and, until recently, hosted the morning show on 97.1 AMP in Los Angeles. On July 27, Daly announced via Instagram that he is quitting his radio gig to focus on fatherhood.

“The reason I’m going to stop doing radio for now is that I just want to have breakfast with my kids,” the post read. Aww! Daly has three kids with wife Siri Daly: Jackson James, 8, Etta Jones, 4 and London Rose, 2.

Although he loves his work, Daly says it’s time for being dad to his kids to be his number one priority.

“It’s just time. Anybody who knows me knows I work and travel a ton. I felt it was time for something to give. I want to spend more time with my kids, my wife. Eat breakfast with them and drive them to school. Of all the jobs I have, being a father is far and away the most important to me. It’s time to put family first. Life is moving at warp speed. I don’t want to miss any of it at home,” he told TODAY.

Carson’s wife, Siri, is a food blogger and occasional guest on the TODAY show. She shared a photo on Instagram from one of her appearances last spring.

Siri and Carson have been together for nearly 12 years, though they officially tied the knot on Dec. 24, 2015, when they sprung a surprise wedding on unsuspecting friends and family.

Siri commemorated their one-year anniversary on Christmas Eve 2016 on Instagram with a picture from the wedding, writing “One year ago today. I will always cherish that this is how we kick off Christmas, and I will always cherish you @carsondaly.”

Daly’s entertainment career started in radio (he even interned for Jimmy Kimmel’s radio show back in the day!), and he had continued working in the field off and on during his time at MTV’s “Total Request Live (TRL)” and later “Last Call With Carson Daly.”

For their part, Carson’s former employer is taking the news of resignation in stride.

“Carson is a valued member of CBS RADIO and we support and appreciate the difficult decision he made to strike the right balance for him and his family,” the network said in a statement to Fox News. “While mornings on 97.1 AMP/ Los Angeles are no longer possible, we are thrilled to continue our long-standing relationship around his highly successful, syndicated weekend countdown show, ‘Daly Download,’ and look forward to other creative collaborations in the future.”

Fans also supported his decision to put his family first.

“Aww I love you on the show. Enjoy your family,” commented Instagrammer sweetlife_vee.

“You will be missed. Thank you for giving us so much of you. Family is first and those moments are irreplaceable. Best wishes hope to hear you again on the radio,” said another fan.

We hope Daly enjoys some great quality time with his kids!
