While it’s true that pumpkin spice tends to take over every fall, there are plenty of other fall tastes to enjoy as well. One such flavor, maple, is definitely holding its own when it comes to our taste buds. From coffee creamer to Snickers to the latest, Cheerios, pumpkin spice might just have some competition.
The new Maple Cheerios contain no artificial flavors or colors and are made with real maple syrup and other natural flavors. The best part? They’re a permanent addition to the Cheerios family, so you can enjoy them year-round — even when you can’t have them with a PSL!
Maple Cheerios are already in some grocery stores, but they’ll be nationwide by the end of October, along with yet another new flavor — Cheerios Oat Crunch, topped with whole grain oats and real cinnamon.
Why does maple seem to be growing in popularity? Well, according to Cheerios, who asked people about their favorite fall flavor, it turns out pumpkin spice may actually be the flavor people have grown most tired of. That’s not to say that people don’t still want pumpkin spice. After all, Cheerios still offers the flavor.
But maple is definitely gaining ground.
Where do you side in the debate of fall flavors — pumpkin spice or maple? Will you be trying the new Maple Cheerios?
