Cheetos popcorn will soon be available in movie theaters

Are you planning to catch a flick over the winter holidays? Do you look forward to the snack stand at movie theaters as much as you look forward to the movie? Do you love a certain chip that leaves your fingertips neon orange? If so, get your stomach ready for some great news!

In a move that’s certain to please movie-lovers and Cheetos fans alike, Regal Cinemas is now selling Cheetos-flavored popcorn at participating theaters. And you’ll be glad to know that it’s not just orange-colored regular movie theater popcorn, either. Instead, movie-goers can expect a 32-ounce cup of popcorn mixed with actual crunchy Cheetos chips and then topped with an extra coating of Cheetos dust.

Since there are few things more delicious than cheese and butter-doused popcorn, this pairing could be the best movie theater snack of all time. (Especially if you toss a box of Milk Duds into the mix and eat it all together.)

While it’s not clear how long the movie theater chain will offer the “dangerously cheesy” mash-up, John Curry, Regal’s Senior VP of Food Service, called the new concession stand treat a “gift to Regal fans enjoying their favorite movie this holiday season.”

“We are thrilled to partner with an iconic brand like Cheetos to deliver blockbuster snack choices to moviegoers,” he said in a press release.

According to Delish.com, this is the first time the chip company has partnered up with a movie theater chain, although some lucky baseball fans may have encountered Cheetos popcorn at ballparks in recent years.

Since movie theater snacks haven’t changed much since we were kids, we are super duper excited to try this new snack during the holiday season while catching screenings of movies like “Lady Bird” and “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”—even if it does leave our laps covered in orange dust.
