Chicken wonton tacos are the perfect game-day pairing
The best part of any big football party is the food. The action may be happening on the field, but everyone gets into the game by digging into all the delicious dishes on the table.
If you’re looking for a recipe that’s sure to score big points for your Big Game party, how about trying something that brings everything to the celebration? We found Asian chicken wonton tacos that blend three of our favorite foods — Mexican cuisine, Asian cuisine and finger foods — into one irresistible package!
This Asian chicken wonton taco recipe was created by Erin at Simple, Sweet & Savory. In planning her big game party, she looked for menu items that met two requirements: “it has to be easy and it has to be delicious.”
There’s no frying required for these crispy bites, which already makes the prep factor so much easier!
The ingredients for these Asian chicken wraps are also simple to find and pull together. You just need wonton wrappers, olive oil, a chopped sesame Asian salad kit, cooked chicken, green onions, Asian sesame dressing, hoisin sauce and sesame seeds. You can find the full ingredient list, along with quantities needed, on Erin’s website.
The secret trick to transforming the wonton wrappers into taco shells is a clever little hack Erin shared in which she uses two inverted muffin tins to create the shape that holds all of the yummy meat, veggies and sauce inside. In fact, the wonton wrappers are really the only bit of cooking you have to do if you pick up a pre-cooked chicken at the grocery store. The rest of the dish only requires some quick chopping and mixing, per Erin’s instructions.
In less than 25 minutes, you’ll have a crunchy and savory snack that will make all of your party guests cheer.
