You Can Now Order Keto, Paleo and Whole30 Dishes At Chipotle
With the start of the new year, many people are recommitting to a diet plan. When you resolve to change your eating habits for the better, trips to restaurants can often be challenging. Luckily, Chipotle is adding new menu items that are designed specifically for diners following popular diets, including the keto diet, Whole 30 and paleo diets.
With the addition of these new diet-friendly options, the fast-casual chain hopes to cash in on those customers who want to incorporate dining out into their healthy lifestyle.
Dubbed “Lifestyle Bowls,” the new menu items include new bowls customized for particular diets. Customers can chow down on the Whole 30 Salad Bowl, the Paleo Salad Bowl, the Keto Salad Bowl and the Double Protein Bowl. These new items are available exclusively through Chipotle’s mobile app and its website for in-restaurant pickup or delivery.
The idea for the bowls apparently came from Chipotle workers seeing customers customize their meals heavily to match certain diet plans.
“Now more than ever, Americans are embracing new and varied approaches to healthy living and wellness,” Chris Brandt, chief marketing officer at Chipotle, said in a press release. “We’ve watched guests custom create lifestyle-specific bowls when ordering in our restaurants, so it made sense to offer delicious options via our online channels that help people easily order bowls with real ingredients that fit their wellness goals.”
Although there are a number of hacks out there for customizing orders at popular restaurants and fast food joints to adhere to specific diets (such as keto-friendly orders at Starbucks), Chipotle’s introduction of these Lifestyle Bowls makes it just a little bit easier to ensure that your order isn’t breaking your diet’s rules.
