Chris Stapleton was nominated for album of the year at Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards, but he couldn’t make it to the show for some mysterious reason. Alas, when Stapleton’s name was called and he won the prestigious award — it was host Reba McEntire who stepped in to share some amazing news: Stapleton’s wife, Morgane Stapleton, had welcomed twin boys a little earlier than expected!
“Those little rascals came a little bit early,” McEntire told the audience, who let out a huge cheer. “Hot off the press … Twin boys.”
The country music icon also went on to congratulate Stapleton for winning the award, becoming a dad and — oh yeah — she even remembered to wish him a happy birthday! The night of the awards ceremony, April 15, also happened to be Stapleton’s 40th birthday.
Boy — did he hit the jackpot or what?

The Stapletons have been married for 10 years and are already the parents to a little boy and a little girl, who are around the ages of six and eight, according to Country Living.
The couple has kept many details of their family life — including the names of their children — private, but they did share early on that they were expecting twins.
In October, Morgane Stapleton shared the news on Instagram, writing, “14 years, 2 babies, & 2 more on the way. Happy 10 year anniversary babe! You make my whole world go round.”

And, just like that, the family of four is now a family of six — and they had the help of none other than Reba McEntire to announce the births of their babies! Congratulations, y’all!
