Chrissy Teigen is helping teachers get much-needed classroom supplies this school year.

After the celebrity model/chef/TV host — who recently announced she’s expecting her third child — tweeted photos of the impressive preschool space she’d created for her daughter Luna and a few other children to use during this pandemic school year, she didn’t just leave it at that.

“If you are a teacher in need of supplies for the upcoming school year, please drop your amazon wishlist here, I will do as many as I can!” Teigen tweeted the next day on her account at @chrissyteigen.

After Teigen shared her offer, Twitter users added on to her thread saying they would also fulfill some of the wishlist requests themselves. Teigen reported on Aug. 24 that she’d completed 50 lists plus other items and planned to do more in the coming week, with a focus on “struggling districts and special needs.”

Actress Kristen Bell also regularly shares a #FeaturedTeacherFriday post on Instagram to help teachers and kids across the country get needed school supplies. There’s also a #Clearthelists campaign on social media that similarly works to connect teachers to those wanting to donate money or supplies.

And if you’re curious about Teigen’s homeschooling space itself, she shared several photos of the room in the house she shares with husband John Legend, daughter Luna, son Miles, Teigen’s mother.

There are cubbies, kid-sized tables, a play kitchen, costumes, building blocks and other toys, musical instruments, art supplies, a “soft rock cozy reading area,” and what looks to be an outside play spot.

Here’s the post on Twitter:

A book wall shaped like a tree sits by the “soft rocks.” She granted her followers a closer look at it:

Teigen, who is known for being very active on Twitter and responsive to comments, shared follow-up details and photos.  These include “Mr. Ostrich, the paper police,”  and rolls of colored paper she’d ordered that turned out to be much bigger than expected.

She also included a photo that showed her kids hanging out in the cubbyholes.

Teigen tweeted that a professional teacher would be schooling her daughter, Luna, and four other children in the space. But, she posted, “I’ve got cooking, john’s got music, grandma has … day drinking. It will be a great school year!”

The ever-honest actress also tweeted she’d always wanted to be a teacher and wished she’d finished her schooling for that.

“I’m honestly the most insecure person and won’t say I’m good at anything EXCEPT I’m really good with kids this age and im really good with patience and teaching,” Teigen replied to one teacher who asked her about her school setup. “I love it a lot.”

Nice to see her giving back to a profession she loves!
