Chrissy Teigen and John Legend may have been on their way to a special date night, but that doesn’t mean the parents were off duty for the evening — especially Teigen. The mom is still breastfeeding their 4-week-old son, Miles — so all the moms out there can guess what needed to be done on the way to dinner.

Teigen needed to pump milk, so she whipped out the breast pump right there in the back seat.

Legend, impressed with Teigen’s multi-tasking capabilities, took a photo of the pair in the backseat, breast pump and all.

“I know it’s Father’s Day and all but my wife is pretty awesome,” he captioned the photo. “She’s taking me to dinner but still on mommy duty.”

And honestly, this is something all parents can relate to, especially the moms out there.

Of course, since it was Father’s Day, Teigen also admired her husband’s abilities as a partner and father to their two children, 2-year-old Luna and 4-week-old Miles, on Instagram.

“What a man, what a man, what a mighty good man. Thank you for the beautiful life and these beautiful lives you have given me,” she captioned the photo of her husband and two kids. “My best friend and partner always, the most loving and generous and kind human in the world. And the smartest.”

And of course, in her typical humorous way she ended by saying, “I didn’t say funniest so you know I’m not lying here. We love you with all our hearts. Happy Father’s Day.”

There’s such a mutual respect between these two parents, and it couldn’t be sweeter to see.

Parenting isn’t always easy, though, and these two are more than prepared to talk about the tough times, too.

Shortly after giving birth to her son, Teigen posted a photo to Instagram wearing postpartum underwear, which she called “Asian pear underwear,” referencing a joke by the comedian Ali Wong:

The comparison is almost too accurate.

But, despite the tougher experiences, which Teigen openly shares online, there are those moments that make it all worth it — like when you realize you’ve got the “kid thing” under control, just like Teigen did here:

She’s even openly expressed wanting to add one more baby to the bunch.

“I think I do want to have another baby after this and then get hot,” Teigen told Us Weekly when asked about getting back into shape. “I just want to go babies, back to back to back, but then I think maybe I want to have my 30s, really live in my 30s and not just be pregnant throughout them.”

Only time will tell if these parents will have more children, but for now, we’re content getting their refreshingly real updates about parenting two adorable kids.
