Chronic Lateness Isn’t Such A Bad Sign, It Turns Out

Being late is typically looked down upon in the professional world. But, one study shows people who are late tend to be more optimistic, and a different study found that those who are optimistic tend to be more successful.

Just because your colleague showed up late to a meeting doesn’t mean they’re not committed to the cause, it simply means that they perceive time differently than the rest of us punctual people.

According to Business Insider, those who constantly run late have a type B personality, which makes them more creative and relaxed. People with Type A personalities, on the other hand, feel up-tight and the need to be prepared.

If you really think about it, it may not be such a bad thing to have someone with a more positive outlook on-hand. It takes a mixture of both types of people to be successful in the workplace.

And ok, so what they’re a few minutes late to a meeting, you know? When they do finally arrive, they’ll be pumped full of positive energy, creativity and ready to get the ideas flowing.

That’s all you could ask any employee to bring to the table each day, am I right? Never on time, but always ready. Yep, all in a day’s work.
