Chuck E. Cheese now has cauliflower pizza to help kids eat their veggies

Hey parents, do you have trouble getting your kids to eat their veggies? Of course you do. Even as a veggie-loving vegetarian, I admit they are not always be the most enticing meal.

Savvy parents figure out how to incorporate vegetables into different, more delicious foods, and now a popular kid-friendly arcade and entertainment venue is following suit. Chuck E. Cheese is introducing a Super Cauli Crust pizza to its menus nationwide for a limited time, helping the parents of picky (and gluten-free!) eaters make sure they’re eating healthfully.

Chuck E. Cheese teamed up with the cauliflower-forward food company CAULIPOWER for the pizza. It’s the only national brand to offer the cauliflower-based crust in-restaurant. Cauliflower is first ingredient in this pizza crust.

The Chuck E. Cheese 10-inch Super Cauli Crust pizza starts at $8.99 with toppings an additional $1.49 each.

“I know personally how hard it can be to convince kids to eat healthy, with two children under the age of eight,” Ashley Zickefoose, chief marketing and concept officer, CEC Entertainment, Inc., said in a press release. “Our Super Cauli Crust pizza tastes so good, it’s the perfect way to sneak veggies into the kids’ pizza meal.”

In addition to serving the cauliflower pizza at Chuck E. Cheese locations, it will be available for delivery through DoorDash, UberEats and GrubHub.

Cooking with cauliflower

Incorporating cauliflower into foods for a healthy spin is a hugely popular health trend. You can now buy cauliflower “gnocchi” at Trader Joe’s and cauliflower “fries” from Birds Eye.

If you don’t have a Chuck E. Cheese near you, you can purchase CAULIPOWER products in grocery stores nationwide or can make cauliflower crust pizza in your own kitchen. It’s actually easier than you think!

This recipe from The Food Network from Katie Lee calls for only seven ingredients, most of which are spices you probably already have. You’ll need to add sauce and your favorite toppings, but baking the crust itself is pretty simple.

You may also want to whip up some low-carb cheesy cauliflower biscuits or breadsticks to go along with your pizza for an extra boost of veggies. They are both simple to make as well, and you won’t even realize that you’re not eating “real” bread!
