Cindy Crawford’s daughter just walked her first runway at New York Fashion Week

If you haven’t heard by now—Cindy Crawford and her daughter, Kaia Gerber, are major lookalikes. Kaia recently turned 16, and it’s been a sweet, sweet 16 at that. She just made her New York Fashion Week debut and stomped the runway just as well as Crawford used to. What can she say? Like mother, like daughter!

So far, the teen has appeared in two shows. Not only did she open Alexander Wang’s fashion show, but she also walked in the Calvin Klein show—no big deal.

Despite her young age, Kaia is no stranger to the modeling industry. She may not have appeared on runways before, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t totally comfortable in front of the camera.

She’s signed with IMG models and has appeared alongside her model mama on the cover of Vogue, and had a standalone Teen Vogue cover, along with many others.

Crawford had some advice for her daughter as she took this big step in her modeling career:

“My advice to her—and it would be the same if she was going off to college or taking a job in a clothing store—is be on time, be professional, don’t be a diva, get off your phone,” Crawford told WWD. “You’re around these incredibly talented people, soak up information, listen, watch, keep your eyes open, be present, and enjoy it. Have fun. It’s fashion.”

Crawford has been married to Kaia’s father, Rande Gerber, for 19 years. Crawford and Gerber are also parents to Kaia’s brother, Presley.

Both of the kids are approaching their adult years, but according to Crawford, she really doesn’t mind the fact that soon she and her husband will have the house all to themselves. So, what does the famous couple like to do with their alone time?

“We can go for a walk on the beach,” she told People magazine. “It reminds me of when we first got together. I love the simplicity. And we do not worry about the kids because they are fine. They’re doing their own thing.”

Based on the way Gerber strutted down the catwalk at NYFW, it certainly seems as though she’s broken out on her own, and yes, indeed—she’s doing just fine.
