Holiday soda flavors, cinnamon Coke and spiced cranberry Sprite, are back

Deck the halls with … cans of cola! It may not even be Halloween quite yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get excited for the holiday season — especially since Coca-Cola is bringing back some festive flavors to give you an extra jolt of jolly come Christmastime.

Last year we saw Cinnamon Coke and Winter Spiced Cranberry Sprite on store shelves by October, and they quickly amassed fans and devotees who expressed their love for the limited-edition flavors on social media.

The Cinnamon Coke, in particular, has produced an enthusiastic fan base. The flavor features the classic Coke taste with some spicy cinnamon mixed in.

In March, @ADarkKnightt tweeted about their adoration for the festive beverage, insisting that they’re not even a big fan of soda, but this one is “AMAZING.”

Twitter user @star_brow tried Cinnamon Coke earlier this spring, and deemed it “utterly divine!”

Twitter user @ReallyGothPuppy enjoyed the last of their Cinnamon Coke stash in January, and thanked the brand for bringing the spicy-sweet cola into the world.

These spiced-Coke fans should be thrilled to learn that the flavor has already made a triumphant return to store shelves for the 2020 holiday season. You can check the product page and click on the Shop Now button to find out which retailers near you are carrying the festive soda.

Meanwhile, the other seasonal flavor, Winter Spiced Cranberry Sprite, is slightly different from Cranberry Sprite, which has been in production since 2013. According to the product description, Winter Spiced Cranberry Sprite has the same tangy cranberry flavor of the original Cranberry Sprite, plus a kick of holiday spice.

Loyal fans of Cranberry Sprite were having none of this new winter spice thing last year, and some even started a Change.org petition to try and convince the brand to return to the original Cranberry Sprite flavor for 2020.

At least some people will be happy to see the festive flavor again, though. Twitter user @linusknight posted in September that they were anxiously hoping to see the spicy-tart Sprite this holiday season.

While these sodas may be good for sipping on their own, they’re also bound to take your holiday cocktail game to the next level. We have a feeling the Winter Spiced Cranberry Sprite would pair nicely with your favorite vodka, while the Cinnamon Coke will be delicious when mixed with a whiskey — or maybe even rum!

Happy holidays, indeed!

Who’s excited to see these limited-edition flavors back in rotation?
