Coconut macaroon nests with eggs are the perfect Easter treat

Inspired by Charms

Easter is a little over two weeks away! So if you haven’t figured out what you’re bringing to the festivities, you’d better get moving. If you’re on dessert duty, though, have no fear —  we have found the most adorable treat that’ll be perfect for the holiday.

The recipe for these super cute coconut macaroon nests with eggs comes from the Inspired by Charm blog. You can make 30 of them in about an hour. All you’ll need is egg whites, sugar, salt, sweetened flaked coconut, white chocolate chips and mini candy eggs.

Basically, you’ll put all of the ingredients together (except the chocolate and candy eggs) and bake the mixture inside a mini muffin pan. After letting the nests cool, you’ll pipe melted chocolate into each nest, then add two or three candy eggs. You can use chocolate ones like Cadbury’s new shimmer eggs or go for pastel-colored jelly beans.

That’s it — you now have adorable bird nests! Serve them as dessert after your Easter feast or even use them in decorative table settings.

If you’re not a fan of coconut or want something else to bring alongside these cute little nests, you can find plenty of other candy-style recipes also perfect for the holiday. Many are pretty quick and easy to make.

This colorful Easter toffee bark is a Kraft Heinz recipe that calls for saltine crackers, brown sugar, butter, white chocolate and colorful Easter candies. Try it with M&M’s new white chocolate marshmallow flavor! You only bake the toffee bark for 8-10 minutes, so these come together pretty quickly as well.

If you want to go a little fancier, check out these no-bake mini cheesecakes. While still simple to construct, they definitely make it look like you spent all day creating them. Perfectly pastel colors, candy eggs and sprinkles make these treats extra festive.
