College freshman emails every Claudia on campus after accidentally swiping left

There are over 40 students named Claudia at Missouri State University. How do we know? Because that’s what one freshman learned after unintentionally swiping left on the girl of his dreams.

MSU student Hayden Moll was looking for a date on Tinder when he came across the profile of a fellow student named Claudia. However, instead of swiping right to potentially match with her, which would give him the ability to message her, he accidentally swiped left and rejected her profile.

Since there’s no way to “undo” a Tinder swipe, Moll decided to take matters into his own hands and find a way to contact Claudia. So he mass emailed every girl named Claudia on campus.

His email began with:

“First off my name is Hayden and I made a rookie mistake on Tinder. I accidentally swiped left on Claudia’s profile (left is bad) and I really wanted to swipe right.”

He then went on to describe Claudia’s dating profile as well as the photos in it, before ending the letter with: “If it’s none of you Claudias and you know even more Claudias spread the word please. It would be very much appreciated.”

Fortunately for Moll, one of the recipients of the email was fellow freshman Claudia Alley, the woman he had swiped left on:

After deciding that his efforts were funny, Alley agreed to go on a donut date with Moll. She also posted the letter in its entirety on her Twitter account, where it immediately went viral, racking up over 29,000 retweets.

Still, not everyone found the story so charming. According to a poll on the Men’s Health Twitter account, many readers thought Moll’s actions were a bit more creepy than cute:

What do you think? Is this a modern day Cinderella story or a creepy tale of a guy tracking down a woman he doesn’t know?
