Copycat Applebee’s maple butter blondies are so delicious you won’t need to go to the restaurant
Craving the goodness that is Applebee’s maple butter blondie but don’t feel like actually going to the restaurant to indulge? Now you can make this sinfully delicious dessert right at home. And if you don’t know what we’re talking about? The maple butter blondie is basically a butter brownie with a gooey center. And who doesn’t want that?
A blondie is similar to a regular brownie, except it isn’t chocolate. Instead, it’s made with brown sugar, butter and vanilla, which gives it a completely different taste. Think: caramel and butterscotch meets the salty, savory taste of butter.
Blogger Fav Family Recipes has a recipe that’s ridiculously easy to make and that requires only 35 minutes of your time from start to finish. Aside from the main event — the blondie, of course — this recipe calls for a maple butter sauce made of creamy, rich cream cheese, butter and maple syrup.
Top it all off with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream and you have one of the best desserts ever invented. If you’re looking for a little extra crunch, you can always add nuts and extra butterscotch chips, because why not?
For a slightly different take on this decadent dessert, check out the recipe from Six Sisters’ Stuff, which calls for white chocolate chips over butterscotch and includes chopped pecans and/or walnuts in the batter for extra flavor and texture.
Chewy on the inside and flakey on the outside, its an unbeatable combination that will have everyone drooling.
The beautiful thing about the blondie is there are so many different varieties. The cake batter blondies from Sally’s Baking Addiction are absolute heaven and only takes six ingredients to make, one of which is a box of yellow cake mix. Loaded with sprinkles and white chocolate chips, this nostalgic cake batter dessert is certain to be a crowd pleaser, whether or not there’s a birthday to be celebrated.
Happy baking!
