Advent calendars used to mean getting to eat a piece of chocolate every single day leading up to Christmas. Nowadays, you’ll find them filled with everything from Disney toys to wine and to German beer — well, if you’re 21 years old or older, that is.
This Brewer’s German beer advent calendar features 24 16.9-ounce cans of different German beers for counting down the days from Dec. 1 until Christmas Eve. It is selling for $59.99 at Costco, which shakes out to about $2.40 a can.
According to the creator KALEA, the advent calendar, which also comes with a tasting guide and tasting glass, is a “cult product” among fans. If you’re curious about the specific beers inside, it lists them on their website so you won’t have to be too surprised each day. The beers also appear on the side of the packaging:
If you’re not into beer, there are plenty of other boozy advent calendars on the market to make sure your holidays are merry and bright. From wine to whiskey, if you’re a fan of drinking during the holidays, there’s a calendar for you.
If food is more your thing, you’ll also find a few cheese advent calendars on the market, including one you’ll soon be able to get at Target. Of course, there is no harm in pairing your cheese calendar with a wine calendar either, so I’m going to go right ahead and suggest that.
Brewer’s advent calendar may not be available at all Costco locations, so be sure to check your nearest location.
