Rising country music star Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn Jae Brown, are expecting their first child.

The singer announced the news on social media, which is fitting since his career began there. His rep confirmed the news to People.

Brown is best known for country hits like “What Ifs” and “Lose It,” which both reached the top spot on the Billboard U.S. Country charts. His sophomore album, “Experiment,” was released last November.

Brown, 25, made the announcement on April 15 via Instagram. He shared a sonogram of his baby-to-be and wrote (a bit excitedly), “It’s been so hard keeping this a secret!!!!! But the KB’S ARE GONNA BE PARENTS!!! KB3 IM GONNA BE A DADDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Brown often goes by the nickname KB and when he married, he and his wife became KB2. Baby makes KB3. Perhaps the new family addition will have a matching “K” first name?

Brown’s wife Katelyn, 26, also posted an Instagram baby announcement on April 15. In the video, she is shown getting emotional during her ultrasound scan. Her post called the experience “the coolest day of my life by far,” she said. “I barely could stop laughing / crying to let her get pictures but I am soooooo happy and excited. @kanebrown_music I love you so much & am so excited to have an addition to our family to share our everyday fun, travel, & love with.”

The singer’s romantic “Good as You” music video focuses on the couple’s wedding day in October 2018.

If Brown is as sweet as he seems on social media (like when he filled the first floor of his house with bouquets of red roses for his wife on Valentine’s Day), he’s going to make a loving father.

He certainly seems to hold a special spot in his heart for kids. Instead of typical fan meet-and-greets at his shows, Brown invites kids from local Boys & Girls Clubs of America backstage.

Brown, who was raised by a single mom in difficult circumstances, posted about these special events with a video on Instagram, captioning it, “Never forget where you came from and help change lives! These kids are so special.”

Fellow country star Jason Aldean’s wife, Brittany, apparently encouraged the newlywed Browns to get going on having kids. The Aldeans welcomed their second child together in February.

“She keeps asking if we’re having one,” Brown told Taste of Country back in November. Looks like Aldean has her answer at last.

Congrats to this lovely couple! We can’t wait to see newborn photos with KB3.
