This couple is expecting quintuplets after a long fertility struggle
Jamie and Skyler Scott had struggled to conceive for five long years. Now, their dream of adding to their family is finally coming true—times five!
The Utah couple are already parents to sons Shayden, 12, and Landon, 7. They desperately wanted to have a third child but were unsuccessful in their attempts to conceive. After undergoing two rounds of intrauterine insemination, they finally got the happy news that Jamie was pregnant.
A few weeks later, a test showed that Jamie’s HCG hormone levels were unusually high. That’s when doctors told them they actually had quintuplets on the way.
“I was absolutely in awe, and I cried to see all of those babies on the screen,” Jamie told People. “I was in awe.”
The couple shares their experiences as a family through their Instagram and Facebook pages. They recently learned the genders of the babies and revealed them through a Facebook live video. Here’s an Instagram post showing that they have three girls and two boys on the way.

For his part, Skyler is also in shock that they will soon be a family of nine. “When you’ve struggled for that long to have a kid, it’s so surreal,” he said. “Jamie kept thinking we were going to wake up and find out we’re not pregnant.” The entire family certainly looks ecstatic:

The family has temporarily relocated to Phoenix, Arizona so that Jamie can be seen by Dr. John Elliot, who specializes in high-order multiple gestations. According to a GoFundMe page set up by the couple’s sister-in-law, Amanda Scott, Jamie’s water broke on January 30 for Baby A, whom they have named Logan.
“This is, of course, cause for tremendous concern, and Jamie will remain in the hospital until the babies are delivered,” she wrote. Those who wish to help the family with unforeseen medical costs can do so through the site.
The couple continues to give updates on Jamie and the babies via their social media channels, and ask for thoughts and prayers as they await the arrival of their little ones:

Congratulations to this happy family! We’re wishing for a healthy and happy delivery.
