This couple surprised one another by each proposing at the exact same time
Getting engaged is a huge moment in any couple’s relationship. When one person decides to propose, they can put in a lot of time and effort making sure every detail is just right for when they pop the question.
That was certainly the case for Berkley Cade, who planned to propose to her girlfriend of one year, Tori Monaco, while on a trip to Washington, D.C. to visit Cade’s family. What Cade didn’t know was that Monaco was also planning to propose to her on the same trip.

According to BuzzFeed, Cade’s mom, Kristy, found out that both women were planning to propose to each other during the visit. Careful to keep their secrets, Kristy encouraged them each to propose to the other during a planned game night on the trip. She thought it would be great if they both proposed to each other in the same exact way at the same time.
Monaco told BuzzFeed that Kristy, her future mother-in-law, later told her that she lost sleep making sure the double proposal would go off without a hitch. “When in the universe will there ever be two lesbians that want to propose at the same time, the same day, the same place and the same way? I have to get it right,” Kristy apparently said.
The enchanting moment played out during a game of Pictionary. Check out the sweet surprise(s) in the video below:

Monaco managed to beat Cade to the punch by dropping to her knee during the game—but Cade then got her own ring out too. When they realized what was happening, both women seemed super-shocked and overjoyed. Here’s the happy couple showing off their engagement rings:
