Love them or hate them, there’s no denying Peeps are a classic Easter staple, so much so that some people even use them decorate.
If you make sure to always have some of the marshmallowy treat on hand this time of year, you can create some adorable centerpieces with the candy by including only a few extras like flowers and jelly beans.
The centerpiece instructions come from Passionate Penny Pincher, which shared a few different versions, depending on which size you’ll need. Other than Peeps, you’ll need jelly beans or other small candies, a jar or other stand and either real or artificial flowers.
All ingredients are from the Dollar Tree, so you can make each centerpiece for less than $10 and more likely around $5. You can watch how to make the centerpiece below, but you do not need to follow the instructions exactly and can choose your own candy and flowers:
While the centerpieces call for classic bunny-shaped Peeps, the brand is releasing a handful of new flavors this Easter, including Mike and Ike, Dr Pepper and kettle corn.
You can find the Mike and Ike Peeps nationwide, but the Dr Pepper Peeps Chicks are only at Walmart, while the Kettle Corn Marshmallow Chicks are at Kroger’s family of stores, which includes Kroger, Fred Meyer and Ralph’s.
If you’re not a fan of Peeps, take a look at these other Easter centerpiece ideas and keep your eye out for all the Easter candy hitting store shelves soon.
New this year, you’ll find Juicy Drop Gummies in an Easter egg, Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Candy Eggs and Easter Ring Pops in blue raspberry, strawberry and watermelon, which are meant to be hidden in the grass for a different take on an Easter egg hunt.
Will you be using your extra Peeps to make a fun centerpiece this Easter?
