Some say that dogs are a man’s best friend, but when you see the pictures below, you will soon be convinced than dogs are a pig’s best friend, too—at least, if you’re a pig named Olive (aka Oliveira Buttercup) in Glenorie, Australia.
In October 2015, Alissa and Nick Childs decided to add another animal to their family, which already included three dogs, as well as goats and chickens.
The three dogs took to Olive right away, and vice-versa. To see the proof, just check out the Childs’ Instagram feed, abbylovephotography1.
“She definitely behaves as though she is one of the dogs,” Alissa told Mashable Australia via email. “She spends every hour of the day with them, plays with them like a dog, she naps with them. If the dogs run at the gate to bark at something in the street, she races with them.” Awww. Too cute, right?
It looks like Lola, the French bulldog, is Olive’s main BFF, though the other dogs, Tilly (the British bulldog) and Alfie (the Boston terrier), seem to like Olive, too, and have taken her under their wings—or paws, as it were.

And the best part? Olive is therapeutic. Lola has actually been sick lately with respiratory issues, so it makes her relationship with Olive even more magical.
