Dad nails ‘Ave Maria’ at Disney World

When Justin Gigliello took his family to Disney World for a recent vacation, rather than sitting back and allowing himself to be entertained by others, he decided to get in on the action.

Gigliello’s daughter approached the piano player at the Grand Floridian Resort in Orlando and asked if he could play while her dad sang along, and the Disney staffer was happy to oblige. Gigliello then proceeded to belt out a beautiful rendition of “Ave Maria.” He later shared a video of the performance on Twitter.

“Hi all, I just wanted to share this video for a Disney experience!” he wrote in his tweet. “We just went to Disney World last week and my daughter asked the pianist at the Grand Floridian if I could sing while he played. This is me singing Ave Maria at Grand Floridian. I hope you enjoy!”

Wow! What a voice! Naturally, Twitter was super-impressed with Gigliello’s vocal skills, and his tweet eventually was re-tweeted more than 2,800 times. The video has over 200,000 views.

“People were standing on every level clapping and just watching and you could tell some of them just stopped in their tracks,” Gigliello told Fox 61 of his experience singing at the Grand Floridian.

Besides his thousands of fans on the social media platform, it’s clear from the video that Gigliello’s 6-year-old daughter Lilly is wowed by his voice as well.

“I had no idea that was her reaction until I watched the video,” Gigliello told Good Morning America. “Just seeing the love and adoration from your child. It was adorable. It got me.”

His Twitter bio reveals that the talented dad is a voice/piano teacher and holds a bachelor’s degree in voice performance from The Boston Conservatory. He’s also a volunteer firefighter for the North Stonington Fire Company in Connecticut.
