Summer is a time for celebration, and Dairy Queen’s new Piñata Party Blizzard is the perfect way to put a little more fun in your life this season. On June 22, the iconic ice cream chain will celebrate its 80th year in business, and the new Blizzard flavor is in commemoration of this impressive milestone.

Nothing says “Happy birthday” quite like a piñata, and this new frozen treat is filled with pastel-colored cake pieces, cake batter pieces and icing that looks just like the confetti that would come out of a piñata. It’s true — the star-shaped bits are made of icing! The vanilla soft serve-based Blizzard is also topped with confetti-esque candy bits as well as some whipped cream for good measure.

Order up one of these, and it will be like a party in your mouth!

According to the official Dairy Queen Twitter feed, this limited-edition Blizzard will only be available starting June 18 for as long as supplies last, so be sure to snag one while you can.

How festive!

Lynn Dairy Queens, which is a family of seven DQ locations throughout southwestern Pennsylvania, first posted about the party-themed Blizzard back in January when it was out for sampling at Connect 2020, the company’s annual trade show, and it’s been eagerly anticipated since.

YouTubers Melz & Chris got a chance to taste the sweet treat, and they said that along with the other seasonal Blizzards debuting this summer, the Piñata Blizzard is “amazingly delicious.”

And yes, there are several Blizzards Dairy Queen is offering this summer. The Summer 2020 Blizzard menu features six flavors, four of which are brand new. Here’s an image of the new Oreo Cheesecake Blizzard from the company’s Twitter.

And here’s a video showing off the Frosted Animal Cookie Blizzard:

Other new limited-time summer offerings include the Raspberry Fudge Bliss Blizzard and the Wonder Woman Cookie Collision Blizzard (with chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate cookie dough and fudge pieces). The Cotton Candy Blizzard and S’mores Blizzard are the returning options. Here they are together:

Yum! Will you celebrate summer with a Piñata Party Blizzard — or any of DQ’s summer Blizzards — this year?
